Co-Washing (Conditioner-Washing) Your Hair - Part 2

It's been a while since my last blog on co-washing. I have to say that it has been a joy going on this journey of healthy maintenance of natural hair. I have learned alot about better ways of taking care of my hair. It has grown alot and strong.

I decided to change my regimen of co-washing my hair every day to every other day - Monday, Wednesday and Friday. As my hair started to grow long, I needed a little break from washing my hair every day. On Saturday, I wash my hair with shampoo and conditioner. I follow it up with a hair mask and end it with hair oil. I absolutely love the look and feel of my hair.

I wanted to include some thoughts from articles that speak on the subject of co-washing. According to locksandlinks.com,  co-washing is a great alternative to traditional shampooing which can strip your hair of much needed oils and moisture. With just a touch of practice, getting in and out of the shower with a clean head of hair will take less time than applying your makeup, and your hair will benefit greatly from it. Keepitsimplesista.blogspot.com wrote that the benefits of cowashing are: keeping your hair moisturized, keeping your scalp clean, keeping your hair clean all week without it drying out and retaining hair growth.

It's been a great year of learning and growing in the knowledge of healthy hair. I believe that this new year will continue with subjects on healthy eating. Stay tuned! If you haven't tried some of our organic hair care line, take a look and/or buy as a gift this christmas! Here's to healthy hair!

Have a blessed Christmas and a Happy New Year.
